– American Sour Showcase – Thursday 10th onward

Showcasing some of our favourite sours from Stateside: big hitters aplenty, and super rare kegs ready for sampling. Once these have gone, they won’t be coming back in a hurry: saddle up for…

TRVE – Cursed Sour Pale Ale 5.2%

A mixed culture sour pale ale, brewed with Colorado malt and hopped with Falconer’s Flight – TRVE say this is easily their most popular beer.

Grimm – Cherry Rebus Golden Sour 5.7%

Concentrated aromas of dry cherries dominate the nose with very subtle baking spice notes of vanilla and cinnamon stick. The fruitiness is backed by a bright, funky, and rounded acidity that spreads out in the mouth.

Jester King – Aurelian Lure Wild Sour 5.4%

Made by taking mature, barrel-aged sour beer and refermenting it to dryness in oak barrels with apricots from northern Cali. A beer unique to the lands of California

– REDWILLOW TAP TAKEOVER Thursday 3rd – Wednesday 9th September 2020

REDWILLOW TAP TAKEOVER
Thursday 3rd – Wednesday 9th September 2020
Port Street Beer House
Free entry
Good friends REDWILLOW grace our taps for a week long celebration of Macclesfield’s finest. RedWillow always nail the standards – excelling at pale ales, bitters, and stouts – but they’re forever ones to watch with their interpretations of the latest hops, and constant verve for experimentation.
On tap we’ll have…
Restless 8.5%
Think chocolate fondant meets coffee. Loaded with Vietnamese coffee beans; it’s dark and full bodied with sweet nutty chocolate notes. Good Morning Vietnam!
Contactless 5.2%
A beer for our times; A soft and juicy pale ale, packed with cryo Mosaic and Simcoe hops. A crushable pale for when you can’t hug your crush.
F137 – Kveik Citra 4.4%
This pale ale was fermented with a strain of Kveik yeast at a slightly disconcerting 35° and double dry hopped with Citra. Ripe cantaloupe melon on the nose giving way to mango and lychee finish.
Svelte Lager 12°4.8%
Our ode to the classic Czech Světlý Ležák style brewed at 12° Plato (4.8%) using heritage Hana malt. Crisp, clean and delicious!
F136 Nelson Southern Cross 5.2%
A pale ale made with Maris Otter & Rye Malt, hopped with Nelson Sauvin & Southern Cross. Flavours of Mandarin oranges, lemon zest and the classic Nelson Sauvin gooseberry
Ageless 7.2%
A blast from the past, our old school IPA takes no prisoners, hopped right through the boil and dry hopped to death. Upfront it is all tropical fruit and aroma, then it finishes with a long and assertive bitterness
Cider Apple Saison 5.2%
This release is a blend of a 2 year old white Burgundy barrel, fresh Saison and cider made with apples from local orchards. Light and refreshing with a slightly tart finish and a hint of oak.
F134 Sabro Simcoe Pale 3.9%
Our first outing with Sabro in a pale ale balanced with the wonderful Simcoe. Think pineapple, mango and grapefruit dressed with shavings of coconut.
