– Sureshot Brewery Launch – 25th February

Well you’re the real tough cookie with a long history of breaking little hearts like the one in me. That’s okay, let’s see how you do it – put up your dukes, let’s get down to it. Hit me with your Sureshot! Why don’t you hit me with your Sureshot? Hit me with your Sureshot – fire away.

Ahem, that’s right – we’ve got the soon to be legendary SURESHOT BREWERY launching their whole damn show at Port Street Beer House on the 25th of February with a tap takoever.

Founded by brewers who’ve come up through some of your favourite Manchester breweries, we’re absolutely thrilled to have these legends down at PSBH for their beer bow.

Here’s what we’ll have FIRST POURS of:

How Much Does Water Weigh? 4.2% Pale
Pale ale hopped with Centennial, Galaxy & Citra. Crisp sipping with a dry finish and fruit throughout. Built on an extra pale malt base. Splosh blub blub blub.

I’ve Had My Fun & That’s All That Matters 5.6% Pale
Pale ale generously hopped with Mosaic, Centennial, Galaxy & Idaho 7. Big tropical juiciness with a silky smooth oaty texture. We like it… what more could you ask for?

I Lost My Bag In Newport Pagnell 6.0% New England IPA
New England IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Idaho 7 & Centennial. An easy going, citrus, grape and pine paradise to linger in. Sun in eyes, throat dry.

Bring Me The Head Of John The Accountant 8.0% Double IPA
Double IPA hopped with Strata, Mosaic, Citra & Centennial. A chunky tropical fruit salad, mashing melon and passionfruit. Delightful, just don’t do the sums.

PLUS PLUS PLUS we’ll have the brewers themselves in attendance, merchandise available, and much more besides.

6pm til late, free entry.

– Thornbridge x Squawk Tap Takeover 2nd – 5th December

What happens when two breweries follow the same recipe but use hops from different hemispheres? Thornbridge – Dotterel pale ale and
Squawk – Condor pale ale is what.
Pouring these exciting tipples and more all weekend in our Thornbridge & Squawk tap takeover.

Thronbridge and Squawk have each followed the same recipe, but used hops from different hemispheres to brew two delicious pale ales, in a battle royale of hops.

Squawk – Condor 5% pale ale (Northern hemisphere hops)
Thornbridge – Dotterel 5% pale ale (Southern hemisphere hops)

As well as the following killer tipples

Thornbridge on Keg…

Necessary Evil – A lovingly crafted imperial stout, aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels. Aromas of sweet bourbon, vanilla and oak from the ageing process combine with rich chocolate, roasted malts and caramel from the base beer. Complexity and flavour unlike any other.

Seaforth – A British hopped IPA. Copper colour with a nose of fruits and berries, gentle maltiness in the mouth and a wonderful citrus, lemon pith bitterness

I do not seek I find – A big West Coast IPA brewed with Newtown Park. Grapefruit and citrus aromas with a hint of grassiness. Smooth and finished dry, with a light floral bite and stone fruit flavours on the palate.

And Cask…

Cocoa wonderland – Originally brewed with the amazing Cocoa Wonderland Chocolate Shop in Sheffield. A balanced roasty body bringing flavours of coffee & raisins, then huge chocolate notes!

Kipling – The first UK beer to use Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. Heritage Maris Otter to allow the complex flavour of the hop to really shine. Grassy, grapefruit aroma, followed by passionfruit & mango. Balanced thirst-quenching bitterness.

Squawk on Keg…

Cursor pink lemonade – An awesome mix up of delicious raspberry sour and yummy Steep Soda Lemonade, fruitsome fizzy sessionable fun!

Toco – Full-bodied and juicy – this pale layers up dried mango, candied fruit and dank hoppy goodness. A balanced malty base with a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Malu – Dry-hopped with Citra, Amarillo and Mosaic, this wee beer brings a big, citrussy hop hit in a juicy little package.

And cask…

Pavo – Blossom and bubblegum on the nose, straw pale with a delicate mouthfeel and yellow fruit tang.

Aix – Burnt Chocolate and dried cherry on the nose. Dark ruby with a medium body, light chestnuts, toffee and toasted biscuits.
